We’re serving the best of locally sourced and seasonal Pennine foods using traditional recipes to serve you the best in Lancashire pub grub! Some of our featured dishes include our Bury Black Pudding Scotch Egg, Shin beef and Oxtail Pie and Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie (served in the old enamel pie tin, without a hint of potato!). We’ve just been awarded the ‘Best Food’ accolade in the Daniel Thwaites 2012 Award for Excellence!

GREAT DRINK.

We’re committed to serving good quality cask ales and will be offering a number of Thwaites best ales including Wainwright, Lancaster Bomber, Thwaites Original and seasonal specials when available. Our current seasonal Ale ‘Triple C’ is a tasty blonde number, fruity, single (hopped) and one is never enough! To complement our tasty grub, we’ve put together a great value wine list with a selection of great grapes from around the world.

We’re ensuring that we support the local community in particular young people. Our social enterprise EAT Pennines trains and employs young people aged 16-19 to make sure that they have the skills and experience to move into work or further training in the food sector. We’ve been awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ in Daniel Thwaites Awards for Excellence 2012 as a business which has a new and innovative way of working!
